Construction of the 120 MW Kwinana Swift Power Plant is progressing strongly, keeping to schedule and on budget.

Earthworks have now concluded while civil works continues with the completion of gas turbines bases, transformer plinths and fuel areas and the arrival of the water treatment plant and erection of high voltage (HV) transformers.

First fire in Gas Turbine 2 at the Kwinana Swift Power Station marks the completion of the cold commissioning for the Gas Turbines.

FIRST FUEL ARRIVES AT KWINANA SWIFT POWER STATION

Thursday 20^th May at 6pm CTEC site crew received the first shipment of 50,000L of diesel fuel oil which will be used to power the 2 FT8-3 Swiftpac Gas Turbines at the Kwinana Swift Power Station.

CTEC reached project milestone on the 20^th February, with the arrival of 2 Pratt and Whitney Power Systems (PWPS) SwiftPac Gas Turbines (GT’s) at the Kwinana Swift Power Station site.
