Congratulations to all involved in the massive effort which allowed a continuous pour of 520 cubic meters of concrete at the Kwinana Swift site on Tuesday morning.

30 tonnes of reinforced steal held the pads foundations together as site crew successfully poured from 2am Tuesday morning till mid afternoon.

The pads are the foundations for the PWPS FT8 Gas Turbines which are expected to arrive in Perth in January.

Earlier in the set up CTEC staff used state of the art technologies to laser align embedment’s which require millimetre accuracy for when the Gas Turbines are fitted.

The concrete was sourced from local concrete batching plant utilising BGC services.

The second pour is scheduled to start tonight and finish tomorrow arvo.
